Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Certified Surgical First Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our surgeons and medical staff to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient resuscitation during cardiac arrests or other life-threatening events
  • Cover patients with surgical drapes to ensure a sterile operating field
  • Determine the availability and inspect sterile and non-sterile surgical equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Adjust and maintain the operating room temperature, humidity, and lighting
  • Assist with the positioning of patients' bodies to protect against nerve damage or circulation impairment
  • Maintain an unobstructed operating field with surgical retractors, sponges, and suctioning and irrigating equipment
  • Monitor patients' positions, vital signs, and volume and color of blood during surgery
  • Assist with the application of dressings, casts, splints, braces, and other devices
Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
