Job Summary:

We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality in all client matters, preparing basic tax returns, and researching tax issues of minimal complexity.

You will also be responsible for responding to less complex IRS notices, seeking an understanding of the client's business, and developing the ability to identify ethical, independence, and/or conflict issues.

You will utilize and develop a basic understanding and working knowledge of various tax programs and/or requisite software and internal workflow/procedures.

You will follow established business processes and practices, produce quality work products in accordance with taxing authorities, GAAP, and firm policies and procedures.

You will also show interest in and may engage in community events and activities, including networking and recruiting opportunities.

Requirements:
  • B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university (Accounting or Business Economics Major preferred), or actively pursuing a professional certificate from an accredited school or university.
  • Knowledge of IRS Circular 230 Regulations Governing the Practice of Attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Actuaries.
  • Enrolled Agents Before the IRS and the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail are a must.
