We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Radio-Television-Film courses at Austin Community College. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the field and be able to deliver engaging and innovative instruction to a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Radio-Television-Film courses, including cinema studies, TV production, lighting or visual effects, film and emerging media production, scriptwriting and creative podcasting.
- Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback.
- Develop and implement curriculum that reflects the department's approved course learning outcomes.
- Stay current in the field through professional development activities.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the department chair, dean, and/or associate vice president, vice president, executive vice president.
- Master's degree in Radio-Television-Film or a related field.
- Professional experience in one or more of the following: cinema studies, TV production, lighting or visual effects, film and emerging media production, scriptwriting and creative podcasting.
- Demonstrated proficiency using industry-standard programs, online resources, and other technologies for the classroom.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Work is routinely performed in an office/classroom environment.
- Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
- Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
