Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Goodwill of North Florida. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Assist customers with shopping needs, answer questions, and provide product information.
  • Transaction Processing: Ring up sales, collect payment, make change, and bag merchandise.
  • Sales Floor Maintenance: Rearrange clothing on racks, remove items from the floor, dust, and pull clothes from racks to ensure a clean and organized sales floor.
  • Donation Processing: Greet donors, receive merchandise, and provide itemized receipts if desired.
  • Security and Safety: Report known or suspected security and/or theft problems to management.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School or GED preferred.
  • Experience: No experience required, but 1-2 years of experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, energy and enthusiasm to help others, openness to learn and be a team player, and ability to perform basic skills on the register and computer.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing: Prolonged standing required.
  • Walking: Frequent walking required.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
  • Carrying: Ability to carry up to 50 pounds required.
  • Kneeling: Ability to kneel required.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Ability to push and pull required.
  • Bending/Stooping: Ability to bend and stoop required.
  • Reaching: Ability to reach required.
  • Turning: Ability to turn required.
  • Repetitive Motions: Ability to perform repetitive motions required.
