Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at WestRock. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Assist in the installation and fabrication of equipment as needed
  • Work with steam and boiler controls and mechanical power drives
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure accurate inventory counts
  • Submit timely and accurate paperwork
  • Participate in safety reviews, training, and audits
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Ability to operate small machinery (lathe, drill press, welding equipment)
  • At least one year of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift/push/pull pounds multiple times throughout the day
  • Willingness to work all shifts as business needs fluctuate
  • Proven experience demonstrating dependability and timeliness
  • History of excellent attendance
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's degree in electrical field preferred
