At CMP, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing our mission to transform healthcare. As a Nurse Manager Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our nursing leadership team and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Nurse Managers to execute the nursing strategic plan and priorities.
- Participate in unit and hospital decision-making, providing meaningful recognition to others.
- Provide operational and administrative support to Nurse leadership, including staffing coordination, throughput management, and quality and safety outcomes.
- Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing practice and the nursing care delivery system with direct supervision of front-line staff.
- Participate in recruitment and retention strategies, unit goal creation, and shared governance committees or councils.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions and positive outcomes.
- Complete employee corrective action plans/counseling as necessary.
- Prepare and conduct periodic performance evaluations to assigned staff members.
- Contribute to and/or monitor the unit orientation process of all roles as necessary.
- Participate with and model the importance of employee recognition.
- Collaborate with Nurse Managers for efficient fiscal management of departmental activities to ensure proper utilization of hospital resources.
- Participate in payroll, staff scheduling, and daily staffing needs.
- Assist in the management of the department budget and monitor business intelligence for the unit.
- Maximize care efficiency and throughput.
- Understand the relationship between value-based purchasing and quality outcomes with revenue and reimbursement.
- Monitor unit staffing productivity and flex staff accordingly.
- Optimize the patient and family experience of care.
- Lead multidisciplinary rounds.
- Ensure unit-based performance improvement monitoring is completed, trended, and reported internal and external to the unit.
- Lead or participate with quality improvement projects.
- Lead or conduct root cause analysis investigations.
- Assure unit regulatory compliance.
