Key Responsibilities- Perform CT scans, adhering to established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
- Prepare procedure trays with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Take patient history and retrieve relevant orders or prior images.
- Provide patient history and symptoms to radiologists for review.
- Complete documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely completion of exams.
- Support ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and family members.
- Start IVs for contrast administration and use power injectors as needed.
- Contribute to after-hours coverage through on-call shifts.
- Maintain licenses, certifications, and accreditations required for the role.
- Perform daily upkeep of departmental work areas.
- Adhere to customer service initiatives and ICARE values.
- Support quality and performance improvement initiatives.
- Meet quarterly targeted metrics and demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Current ARRT certification with advanced registry or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
- 1 year post-graduate experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
