Job Summary

Central Stone Company is seeking a Drilling Operations Assistant to support our drilling operations in Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa. This is a full-time, hourly position based out of Hannibal, MO, with general daily work hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, as weather permits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in drill loading, unloading, and load securement
  • Set up drill and equipment on site
  • Handle sampling equipment and provide samples to clients
  • Handle augers and other drill tooling
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and repair, including tooling maintenance
  • Clean equipment and keep work area clean and free of debris
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck and drill
  • Haul supplies and equipment
  • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery, including pickups, wrenches, fall protection systems, and other safety equipment
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must be safety-focused
  • Must pass a drug screen, background check, and applicable physical/functional capacity tests
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time when drill site is remote
  • Must be willing to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Ability to speak clearly to others and understand directions given
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or verbal instructions and directions
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to work in a team environment and react to urgent operational needs
  • Must be able to meet all physical demands as outlined in Essential Physical Job Duties
