Lifeguard (Contractual)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifeguard (Contractual) to join our team at Academic Affairs - University Recreation & Fitness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aquatic safety and be able to work in a dynamic environment with variable shifts.

Job Summary:
The Lifeguard (Contractual) will be responsible for ensuring the safety of students and staff in our aquatic facilities. This includes monitoring the pool area, responding to emergencies, and providing first aid when necessary. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the pool area and respond to emergencies in a timely and effective manner
• Provide first aid and basic life support as needed
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users
• Participate in regular training and drills to maintain and improve aquatic safety skills

Requirements:

• Current certification in lifeguarding and CPR/AED
• Experience working in a dynamic environment with variable shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
