About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Poker Dealer to join our team at Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway. As a Poker Dealer, you will be responsible for providing a courteous and entertaining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal poker games to provide a fun and exciting experience for our guests.
  • Accept direction from management to ensure department standards and operational guidelines are met.
  • Initiate friendly conversation with guests and provide game instructions to encourage game activity.
  • Sponsor new dealers to provide on-the-job training.
  • Protect the integrity of the game by observing guests and game layout.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform accurate chip transactions.
  • Notify management of any irregularities or customer requests outside of your authority.
  • Meet department uniform and appearance requirements.
  • Adhere to regulatory, department, and company policies.
  • Perform job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must successfully complete Poker dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience.
  • Must be fast and accurate in handling cash.
  • Six months experience in customer service preferred.
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations.
  • Must possess good manual dexterity and excellent interpersonal skills.
Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules and operating instructions. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
