We are seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Oncology team at the University of Virginia Medical Center. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to adult patients with various types of cancer, including hematology and oncology patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest treatments and technologies.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia.
- At least 1 year of experience in inpatient oncology or a related field.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.
- Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
- Flexibility to work 36 or 48 hours per week.
The Inpatient Oncology unit is a 28-bed adult acute care hematology/oncology unit, as well as a 15-bed intermediate care (IMU) Stem Cell Transplant Unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 on 3 South and 1:3 in SCTU.
