As a Training Leader, you will acquire in-depth knowledge by rotating through essential dispensary functions that support operations, customer experience, and team dynamics. This position is designed to accelerate your career growth and serves as a stepping stone to becoming an Assistant General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties
- Assist management in ensuring the smooth execution of all dispensary operations, adhering to security protocols, inventory management, and compliance with local and state regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring a diverse product assortment and communicating necessary inventory actions to management.
- Oversee the intake and verification processes for deliveries and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Actively lead team members in executing programs, initiatives, and localized in-store promotions effectively.
- Demonstrate proper cash handling procedures, including accurate payment processing and cash maintenance, while supervising team member performance.
Team Leadership
- Inspire and motivate team members to consistently provide outstanding in-store customer experiences.
- Participate in "Leader On Duty" shifts to offer active supervision, recognize team member achievements, and guide behaviors that enhance the customer journey.
- Facilitate a seamless omni-channel customer experience, ensuring consistency across in-store, drive-thru, curbside, and delivery services.
- Encourage team members to achieve Loyalty goals through effective leadership.
- Delegate tasks appropriately during scheduled shifts, ensuring adequate coverage and organization on the sales floor.
People Development
- Collaborate with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager to build and maintain a high-performing team by participating in talent selection and leading the onboarding and training processes.
- Provide constructive coaching and feedback to help team members exceed performance expectations and uphold behavioral standards.
- Assist in facilitating the team member badging process with relevant local and state agencies.
- Coordinate scheduling for team members, including shifts, meal breaks, and rest periods.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of experience in customer service or retail, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
- Preferred experience in the cannabis industry.
- Inventory control experience is advantageous.
- Ability to meet scheduling requirements, including availability for various shifts, such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Successful completion of background checks is required.
- A valid driver's license or state ID is necessary.
- Understanding and compliance with Green Thumb Industries' policies and procedures is required.
- A solid grasp of cannabis laws and regulations, along with a passion for expanding knowledge in the industry, is essential.

Additional Requirements
Must be capable of performing the following tasks for extended periods:
- Move throughout the dispensary to fulfill work assignments and assist employees and customers.
- Remain stationary as needed to meet business demands.
- Engage in direct communication with individuals and groups.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and other office productivity machinery.
- Prepare customer orders by moving and placing products as necessary.
- Inspect and process detailed information, such as customer orders and inquiries.
- Handle inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently.
- Position oneself to manage inventory and materials in storage areas.
Work Environment
- Customer-facing environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to cannabis and potential allergens in a cannabis-centric environment.
