About the Role

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Hematology/Oncology Physician to join our team at the Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center. As a staff physician, you will provide high-quality patient-centric clinical care in the inpatient and outpatient settings, mentor trainees, collaborate with mid-level providers, and support other healthcare professionals in ancillary service settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Care: Deliver high-quality patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings, including comprehensive history and physical examinations, establishing medical diagnoses, and formulating treatment plans.
  • Mentorship and Education: Mentor trainees and provide educational opportunities to support their growth and development.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with mid-level providers, other healthcare professionals, and consultants to guide patient care and ensure seamless communication.
  • Administrative Duties: Document patient encounters in a timely fashion, respond to requests for consultations, and schedule special tests and studies as needed.
