Job Description:

As a CDL-A Local Truck Driver with Performance Foodservice, you will play a critical role in delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner. This position requires a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on local routes, delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the tractor, trailer, and freight are in good condition and meet company safety standards.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Report any safety hazards or issues to management.
Requirements:
  • 12+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
