Position Overview:
As an Aquatic Programs and Wellness Supervisor, you will engage in specialized tasks to support the program manager in overseeing activities at various recreational facilities, including community centers and parks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with recreational staff to create and enhance aquatic and wellness initiatives for both youth and adults, such as swim lessons, swim teams, and wellness programs.
- Ensure appropriate staff-to-child ratios during program operations.
- Play a pivotal role in the development of swim lessons and swim teams.
- Coordinate the introduction of innovative programming focused on aquatics and wellness.
- Design schedules for aquatic and wellness classes, programs, and staff assignments.
- Plan, promote, and manage the swim team program effectively.
- Support the expansion and coordination of senior programming.
- Develop and implement revenue-generating activities.
- Assist in organizing necessary in-service training sessions.

Child Development:
Design lesson plans that promote social-emotional skills, academic growth, and enrichment opportunities for children.

Facility Management:
- Create a daily schedule of instructional activities for staff.
- Ensure the safety and upkeep of facilities, grounds, and equipment, including maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Uphold high operational standards at the city pool, ensuring a clean environment and properly maintained water quality.

Administrative Duties:
- Manage administrative responsibilities and contribute to the branding and marketing efforts for aquatics, wellness, and senior programs.
- Maintain order, discipline, and safety within the facility.
- Record pool admissions accurately.
- Operate city vehicles as required.

Qualifications:
- C.P.R./AED and First Aid Certification are mandatory.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in developing and implementing recreational programs.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- General knowledge of various recreational activities is essential.
- Ability to engage effectively with the public of all ages.
- Physical capability to participate in youth programming.
- A positive attitude towards recreational activities is necessary.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within six months of probation.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and during different hours.
