Mental Health Therapist

Morrison Child and Family Services is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide mental health treatment services for youth, ages 2-18, and their families in a community-based setting.
Job Summary:The Mental Health Therapist position provides short-term intensive mental health services for youth and families experiencing acute behavioral health and crisis support needs. The therapist will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide individual, family, and group therapy, as well as case management and crisis support.
Responsibilities:- Provides mental health services for youth, ages 2-18, and their families, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and individual and family therapy.
- Provides case management, crisis support, safety planning, coordination of care, referrals to ancillary and/or specialty services, and group therapy, as needed.
- Completes all clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements, emphasizing collaborative documentation.
- Abides by the appropriate code of ethics and follows all of Morrison's policies and procedures.
- Is present and punctual for work, supervision, and/or meetings, and works well within a team environment, sharing workload, credit, and opportunities.
- Master's level degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health, social services, educational, or other related setting.
- Pass a DHS (Department of Human Services) criminal history background check.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50-75% of the time.
