Sanitation Technician

Georgia Nut Company is seeking a skilled Sanitation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial chemicals and knowledge of proper waste disposal methods. You will be trained in our Standard Sanitation Operation Procedures (SSOP) and will be responsible for cleaning production and plant equipment in wash down rooms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning production and plant equipment in wash down rooms
• Identifying equipment and electrical components that require protection
• Learning and using proper color-coded tools for the job
• Reporting food safety and quality problems to authorized personnel
• Performing hand cleaning and sanitizing tasks
• Applying correct chemical dilution ratios
• Documenting sanitation activities
• Assuring all sanitation materials and tools are properly stored and disposed of

Additional responsibilities include:

• Operating a garbage compactor, cardboard bailer, and electrical pallet jack
• Segregating recyclable waste and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Performing general housekeeping tasks in common areas
