Position Overview
Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time, Regular, Exempt

Reports To: Senior Vice President of Operations or designated representative
Travel Requirement: Up to 50%
Key Responsibilities
The Vice President of Gulf Coast Operations is responsible for overseeing and coordinating regional site civil, geotechnical, environmental, and foundation projects. This role involves:
- Fostering and enhancing business relationships for Forgen.
- Engaging in business development, project management, and execution responsibilities.
- Directing the creation of proposals and ensuring project execution aligns with Forgen's corporate philosophy of safety and quality.
- Managing a portfolio of projects while securing optimal economic outcomes for the company.
Essential Duties
- Embody Forgen's Core Values in all job functions.
- Lead, manage, and take accountability for direct reports.
- Drive a culture of safety that promotes Incident and Injury Free Performance.
- Ensure the success of various projects and the performance of project directors, managers, engineers, and other professionals.
- Develop and advance the overall business growth strategy for the regional service line.
- Maximize operational performance and achieve financial objectives, including P&L and project performance.
- Facilitate business development and project execution through collaboration across all regions and business lines.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations on construction methods and equipment.
- Complete additional assignments as directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in heavy civil construction, particularly with large-scale projects.
- Experience in environments that prioritize safety performance.
- Proven leadership experience with P&L accountability for significant annual revenue.
- Experience in business development and overseeing proposal development.
- Valid driver's license.
Skills and Abilities
- Highly motivated with a strong commitment to excellence.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and leverage analytics for problem-solving.
- Demonstrated expertise in project and program management.
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based but may require occasional site visits. Employees may encounter various working conditions, including exposure to construction environments and outdoor elements.
