Position Overview:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse Case Manager at PACS Inc, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing Services. Your responsibilities will include planning, developing, and overseeing the daily operations of the nursing service department, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the creation and revision of policies and procedures that govern nursing services.
- Address and resolve issues related to resident and patient care, including family concerns.
- Maintain up-to-date reference materials at nursing stations to ensure compliance with professional standards.
- Recommend resources to enhance the nursing service department's effectiveness in meeting resident needs.
Quality Assurance:
- Participate in the development and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program for nursing services.
- Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans based on resident evaluations.
Supervisory Duties:
- Monitor nursing staff performance and ensure adherence to established care standards.
- Facilitate communication among all team members involved in resident care to promote a cohesive approach.
Administrative Functions:
- Complete necessary documentation, including medical forms and reports, in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Assist in budget preparation for the nursing service department.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a preference for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Valid licensure with the State Board of Nursing and compliance with continuing education requirements.
- Experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong decision-making abilities and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and familiarity with PCC systems is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally and perform various office tasks.
Work Environment:
- The work environment is typically low to moderate in noise level, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
