Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology and Hepatology Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth Kissimmee. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C), you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our medical group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients and evaluate and treat injuries or illnesses related to gastrointestinal conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
- Treat patients with a range of conditions affecting the digestive system, liver, and esophagus, including GI bleeds, atypical chest pain, dysphagia, acute hepatitis, gallstone disease, gastroparesis flares, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis flares.
- Monitor patient progress and make referrals to physicians or specialists as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to provide consistent, high-quality care to patients and support to staff.
- Display a caring and professional attitude at all times and maintain personal and professional growth.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.
Schedule and Location:
This is a full-time opportunity with a flexible schedule, including 4-10 hour shifts or Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. The main location is AdventHealth Kissimmee.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
- GI inpatient and outpatient experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus.
