Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clear communication and direction to team members
  • Implementing processes to ensure timely project completion
  • Performing tasks as an operator and/or laborer
  • Operating construction machinery, including dump trucks and skid loaders
  • Establishing daily production targets
  • Conducting daily site inspections
  • Ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
  • Monitoring safety protocols and procedures
  • Leading weekly safety meetings
  • Maintaining accurate reporting and documentation
  • Setting up safety perimeters using appropriate signage and barriers
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role is essential
  • Background in Telecommunications is advantageous, but not mandatory
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret utility maps
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team direction
  • Proficiency in using locators for safe utility identification
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to safety practices
  • Effective communication with team members, clients, and suppliers
  • Basic computer skills required; familiarity with Google applications is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary
  • Unrestricted Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement is preferred (higher pay scale for CDL holders)
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or be on-call as needed
  • Travel may be necessary for project completion

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and operate machinery
  • Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs, with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs as needed
  • Duties require standing, crouching, sitting, bending, and reaching
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, and other airborne materials may occur
  • Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and moving machinery
  • Remote work may be necessary; long periods of driving and sitting may be required
  • Moderate noise levels in the work environment
  • Outdoor work entails exposure to various weather conditions
