Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Medical Surgical RN for an immediate travel nurse opening in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
  • Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
  • Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
  • Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures.
  • Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

Requirements:
  • BLS certification
  • 2 years of recent acute care experience
