The Paper Store is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, achieving sales goals, and maintaining merchandising standards in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Service: Provide customers with a unique shopping experience by utilizing the G.U.E.S.T. service approach, which includes greeting and welcoming every customer warmly, understanding customer needs, explaining product features and benefits, suggesting additional items, and thanking customers sincerely.
- Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of products and services offered by The Paper Store, including gift wrapping, card writing, and other related services.
- Sales and Merchandising: Achieve sales goals by effectively selling products and services to customers, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
- Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other Sales Associates, Store Team Leaders, and management to achieve sales goals, maintain store standards, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including recovery of the sales floor, processing new product, and stocking shelves.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in specialty retail is preferred, but not required.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 50 lbs., and utilize appropriate safety techniques.
