Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Emergency Room Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care to patients with acute and chronic conditions, including those requiring life-saving interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of current experience in Emergency Room nursing.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA only).
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and medical software (such as Epic, McKesson, etc.).
- Familiarity with medical equipment and technology.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
