We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at PCS - Brentwood. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support and care to residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans, working closely with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services, including medication management, behavioral support, and daily living skills training.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor resident progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and cultural competence.
- Must be 21 years of age and meet company driving criteria.
- Pass a state background study.
- Meet one of the following requirements:
- A. Hold a bachelor's degree in a behavioral science or related field and have at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in delivering services to individuals with mental illness.
- B. Have at least 6,000 hours of supervised experience in delivering services to individuals with mental illness.
- C. Be a graduate student in a behavioral science or related field and be formally assigned to an agency for clinical training.
- D. Hold a master's or other graduate degree in a behavioral science or related field and have less than 4,000 hours of post-master's experience in treating mental illness.
