Responsibilities- Ensure patients feel comfortable and at ease before their examination
- Sterilize dental instruments to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Clean and protect patients' teeth, including removing plaque and applying fluoride
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care, including demonstrating good brushing techniques
- Provide instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
- Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases, including oral cancer
- Maintain accurate documentation and charts on each patient
- Registered Dental Hygienist License in Montana (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a dental hygienist
- Knowledge of dental and equipment terminologies
- Experience with medical imaging techniques, such as intraoral and extraoral x-rays
- Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Excellent oral communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Desire and ability to learn new skills and be a team player
- Commitment to being punctual and reporting to work on time
