Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Forester to join our team at the Bureau of Land Management. As a Forester, you will play a critical role in managing and conserving our nation's natural resources.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement forestry plans and projects to ensure the sustainable management of our natural resources.
- Conduct fieldwork to assess forest conditions and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to develop and implement forest management plans.
- Analyze data and make recommendations to improve forest health and productivity.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders to ensure that forest management plans meet their needs and expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in forestry or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in forestry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of forestry principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This position requires frequent travel to remote areas and may involve working in extreme weather conditions.
