- Strive to grow and develop, creating a professional, progressive Imaging department with a positive atmosphere.
- Assist Physicians in all aspects of procedures in their assigned area.
- Provide a safe positive experience for the patient.
- Handle delicate situations (anxiety, history of cancer, etc.) in a supportive and empathetic manner.
- Act as a mentor and preceptor to new staff and students.
- Support teaching and continue learning as the technology changes for both themselves and others.
- Enter patient data into computer systems accurately.
- Check and document patient histories.
- On-call responsibility.
- QA's images and patient information for accuracy prior to sending to PACs.
- Perform routine and specialized mammography as well as procedures.
- Vocational School Diploma Must be a graduate of an approved professional academic imaging program - required.
- Associate's Degree AS or AAS - required.
- Vocational School Diploma Diploma, in X-ray - required.
- Previous experience in stereotactic biopsy helpful. - preferred.
- Must hold current New York State registration or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York Upon Hire - required.
