We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Non-Metallic Components Inc. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and continuous operation of our production process.
Key Responsibilities- Review production schedules and inventory levels to determine items to be transferred to and from production.
- Prepare finished goods for shipment with accurate labeling and documentation.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move products as assigned.
- Label and track inventory using our inventory management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of our production process.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of strategies to improve inventory management and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, memos, and reports.
- Ability to write clear and concise correspondence and reports.
- Ability to effectively present information to colleagues and management.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
The Material Handler will work in a fast-paced production environment with frequent exposure to moving machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 55 pounds and work in a team-oriented environment.
