Job Summary

City of Hope is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse I to join our team in the Hematology/Oncology department. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care to individuals undergoing stem cell transplantation and other forms of cellular therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the continuum of malignant hematology and stem cell transplantation.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of recent experience in cellular therapy, stem cell transplantation, or a related field.
  • BSN degree required; completion of BSN within three years of hire date.
  • Georgia Registered Nurse License or a Registered Nurse License from a Compact State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from an approved American Heart Association training site.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certificate.
