Job Title: Maintenance Technician, Multifamily

Maintenance Technicians at Multifamily provide exceptional support to residents, ensuring a high-quality living experience. This role involves delivering on commitments, including quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare make-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping duties.
  • Respond to resident requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of maintenance functions, including plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, general carpentry skills, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
  • Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to ensure cleanliness, operation, and safety for residents.
  • Be on call for after-hour emergencies and report any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance supervisor and maintain knowledge of state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
  • Attend and participate in training programs as required by Cushman and Wakefield.
  • Deliver superior customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Maintain all safety procedures and safeguard all company tools and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's license, EPA 60- Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate.
  • Ability to read/understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
  • Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
  • 1+ years of related experience.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time.

They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.

The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; regularly operate office machinery.

The employee must be able to travel up to 10% of the time. Travel may vary in frequency and duration.

The employee must demonstrate the ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 100 pounds frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
