As a Bank Teller at The General, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers by processing transactions efficiently and accurately. This includes cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, and processing loan payments and money transfers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify customers and manage various transactions, including validating and cashing checks, accepting cash and/or checks for deposit, and processing cash withdrawals.
  • Perform specialized tasks such as preparing cashier's checks, personal money orders, and exchanging foreign currency.
  • Provide services for customers such as ordering bank cards and checks.
  • Receive and verify loan payments and mortgage payments.
  • Balance currency, cash, and checks in the cash drawer at the end of each day.
  • Answer inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and other bank-related products.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some clerical, administrative, cash handling, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Relevant computer skills.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this position may include climbing, reaching, standing, lifting, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Medium exertion; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, and viewing a computer terminal.
