Sustainable Mobility Designer needed at Alta Planning + Design. Join our Los Angeles office design team and contribute to the creation of innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for various transportation projects.

Job Description

This role involves working with our multidisciplinary team to lead and deliver complex transportation projects, from concept-level design to construction documents and high-quality graphics. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in solving intricate transportation problems and working closely with other disciplines, such as planners, landscape architects, graphics designers, outreach specialists, and data analysts.

The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering expertise, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and tasks on multiple simultaneous projects. They should also be proficient in MicroStation Connect and OpenRoads Designer software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our multidisciplinary team to develop innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.
  • Lead and deliver complex transportation projects, from concept-level design to construction documents and high-quality graphics.
  • Develop skills in solving intricate transportation problems and working closely with other disciplines.
  • Manage competing priorities and tasks on multiple simultaneous projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field of study.
  • 4-6+ years of experience in a consulting environment or public entity.
  • Proficient in MicroStation Connect and OpenRoads Designer software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
