About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in instructing residents and other technologists in nuclear medicine procedures and protocols.
  • Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients.
  • Evaluate recorded images for technical quality and formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits.
  • Monitor supplies and equipment, making necessary orders and developing new programs to comply with state and federal agencies.
  • Perform a full range of nuclear medicine prescribed imaging techniques and measurements used in medical diagnosis and evaluation.
  • Process computerized image data, including function curves and reconstructed SPECT images, and accurately transfer images to the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS).
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for providers issued by the American Heart Association.
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT-RHN) certification.
  • One of the following certifications: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT-RHN) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
