We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Dentist to join our team at Tohono O'odham Nation Healthcare.

Job Summary

The Pediatric Dentist will be responsible for providing treatment to pediatric and disabled patients in a clinical setting within the dental program. The incumbent will perform a full range of professional dental duties, including emergent care, and work under the supervision of the Chief Dental Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assessing patient needs and developing personalized treatment plans
  • Performing restorative and preventive treatments, such as fillings and cleanings
  • Administering local anesthesia and using behavior management techniques
  • Treating gum infections and recognizing symptoms of systemic diseases
  • Supervising pediatric dental residents and working with the Electronic Dental Record (EDR) program
  • Maintaining accurate records and meeting administrative tasks

Requirements

  • D.S. or D.M.D. from a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
  • Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry from a two-year accredited pediatric dental residency program
  • Current Healthcare Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Able to obtain a current and valid Dental License to practice dentistry in the state of Arizona

Working Conditions

The Pediatric Dentist will work in a clinical setting within the Tohono O'odham Nation Healthcare facilities. The incumbent must be able to work independently and meet strict timelines, as well as maintain privileged and confidential information.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $ $240,000. This figure includes compensation for the employee's base salary, benefits, and other forms of remuneration.
