Job Summary:The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients in compliance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Practice, and defined by ANA, ENA, BSBHS, and organization protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in emergency nursing and be able to develop, implement, evaluate, and revise plans of care based on the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs of patients and families.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients for changes that may hinder recovery and collaborate with staff, physicians, and other disciplines to provide quality care delivery.
- Maintain clinical knowledge and skills competency to facilitate patient care in accordance with current standards of practice.
- Provide for a safe patient care environment and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure with the Maryland Board of Nursing or Compact State, if resident of that state.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience specific to Emergency Services or 3-5 years of other acute care experience preferred.
- BLS required; ACLS within 6 months of hire; PALS and Hazmat within one year of hire.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing preferred.
