Job Summary
The Staff Pharmacist is a vital member of the healthcare team, utilizing their expertise to ensure the safe and effective use of medications in patient care. This role involves reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications, and maintaining accurate documentation.
In addition, the Staff Pharmacist will provide drug information and consult with hospital staff to ensure the correct use of medications. This position requires a strong understanding of clinical pharmacy best practices, policies, and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. or Pharm. D. degree from an accredited college/university of pharmacy required.
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in North Carolina or eligible for licensure.
- One year experience as a hospital pharmacist preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review medication orders for appropriateness.
- Dispense medications and maintain required documentation.
- Provide drug information and consult with hospital staff.
