Job Summary

This position is responsible for working directly with families as part of the diagnostic process for developmental evaluations and on-going care for children with neurodevelopmental differences. Key responsibilities include completing diagnostic and behavioral intake assessments, providing follow-up appointments upon an autism spectrum diagnosis to navigate families with the next steps, interacting and connecting families with other service providers, county resources and state agencies, and working with families needing assistance to advocate for school services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing diagnostic and behavioral intake assessments
  • Providing follow-up appointments and navigating families with next steps
  • Interacting and connecting families with other service providers, county resources, and state agencies
  • Working with families to advocate for school services
  • Crisis management, case management, family support, and coordination of services via a triage process
Requirements:
  • MSW from a Social Work program accredited by the Council on Social Work (CSWE)
  • Valid NYS professional Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Three years of post-licensure relevant experience working with interdisciplinary teams in the field of pediatrics
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience working with children with neurodevelopmental differences
  • Demonstrate the ability to work on interdisciplinary teams
