Job OpportunityWe are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Math Tutor to provide academic support to 7-8th grade students at The Learning Spot. The ideal candidate will possess strong math skills, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Lesson Plans: Create engaging and effective lesson plans that align with students' individual needs and learning styles.
  • Provide Academic Support: Offer personalized assistance with math concepts, problem-solving, and homework completion.
  • Monitor Student Progress: Track student achievement, identify areas of improvement, and adjust lesson plans accordingly.
  • Communicate with Colleagues: Maintain open communication with colleagues to share student progress, address concerns, and provide support.
  • Utilize Technology: Effectively use technology tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong Math Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in math concepts. (e.g., 7th and 8th grade math).
  • Teaching Experience: Previous experience working with students, preferably in a tutoring or teaching role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers.
  • Patience and Enthusiasm: A positive and supportive attitude towards students and their learning.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with various educational technology tools.

This is an in-person position during the school day.
