Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced sonographer to perform transthoracic echocardiograms for patients of all ages, including fetuses, premature neonates, newborns, and adults with congenital heart disease. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, education, innovation, and research.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality echocardiograms using standard department protocols and sterile techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with ordering and interpreting physicians to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Maintain active credential status by complying with continual education requirements.
  • Report, document, and correct any adverse, unsafe, or unusual conditions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment effectively and report any issues to biomedical engineering or vendors.
Requirements:
  • One year of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment performing cardiac or vascular sonography.
  • Graduate of an accredited school or program of diagnostic medical sonography or 5 years of specialized training in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • ARDMS Registered with RDCS Certification or CCI Registered with RCS Certification for Echo, or ARDMS with RVT or CCI with RVS Certification for Vascular.
  • BLS (AHA) certification.
