Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language services to our students, ensuring their academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment findings.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and student progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and recommendations.
  • Conduct screenings and provide consultations as needed.
  • Stay informed about developments in speech-language pathology and implement best practices.
  • Provide training and support to school staff on speech and language development.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Pennsylvania state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education for Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Knowledge of IDEA and state and federal regulations governing special education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
