Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to provide comprehensive care in a locum tenens capacity. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring a high standard of medical attention for patients.

  • Call Schedule: 24-hour call from 8 AM to 8 AM
  • Shifts Needed: Ongoing monthly shifts
Clinical Responsibilities:

The physician will be responsible for:

  • Attending deliveries, both cesarean and vaginal
  • Responding to emergency department for urgent obstetric concerns
  • Admitting and discharging obstetric patients
Practice Composition:
  • Procedures: Low-Risk and High-Risk Pregnancy management, OB ultrasounds, routine and complicated deliveries, surgical gynecology, and more.
  • Support Staff: Registered Nurse
  • Department Capacity: 13 beds, with 8 for inpatient care
Facility Features:
  • Onsite laboratory and ultrasound services
  • Trauma Level: II
  • Nursery Level: I
  • Electronic Medical Records: Cerner
Candidate Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid MI License or IMLC
  • Board Certified
  • Current CSR
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Clean professional record
  • Local candidates are highly preferred
  • Participation in MI Medicaid/CHAMPS is required
  • COVID Vaccination is mandatory
