Job Title: Pharmacy Technician III

At TriHealth, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician III to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician III, you will play a critical role in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications to patients in our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of compounded sterile products, including chemotherapy and hazardous medications.
  • Perform hand hygiene and garbing, and clean and disinfect the IV Room and hoods according to policy and maintain accurate cleaning logs.
  • Prioritize IV medication production and dispose of IV and chemotherapy/hazardous waste.
  • Assist in non-sterile medication preparation by selecting, counting, compounding, packaging, scanning, labeling, filling, and delivering medications per department guidelines.
  • Stock orders, emergency carts, and boxes, and accurately fill in a timely manner.
  • Transport medications from the pharmacy to areas outside of the pharmacy.
  • Maintain an accurate controlled substances (CII-CV) inventory and review and maintain controlled substance records.
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or GED
  • Active National Pharm Tech Cert (CPhT)
  • Approved cert is through Pharm Tech Cert Board (PCTB) and ExCPT Cert by the National Healthcareer Association
  • Active registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Must be able to compound sterile products and maintain a sterile environment
