As a key member of our Health and Wellness department, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of our members and promoting a culture of health and wellness within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to members, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist members in using fitness equipment and recommend wellness programs to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the wellness areas, including the weight room, group exercise rooms, and functional room.
  • Monitor the wellness areas to ensure member safety and equipment function.
  • Stay knowledgeable about our wellness programs and services, and be able to communicate this information to members.
  • Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the wellness areas, and adhere to YMCA standards of quality and service.
  • Assist with wellness programs as needed, and support members in their desired behavior change.
  • Build effective relationships with members, and help them connect with each other and the YMCA.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Knowledge and skills in fitness programs and equipment, and the ability to instruct participants in techniques
  • Required trainings within 30 days
  • Certifications preferred: CPR, AED and Basic First Aid
