The Western Partitions, Inc. team is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our project management group, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in setting up, managing, and closing out projects at the Regional office or job site.

Your Role

In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful project execution. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and implementing WPI policies, procedures, and corporate safety program
  • Participating in safety plans and measures for assigned projects
  • Reviewing contract language, scope of work, and special provisions
  • Assisting with material procurement, subcontractor quotes, and engineering bids
  • Preparing RFI's, submittals, and shop drawings
  • Supporting and visiting job sites as required
  • Managing budget updates and pricing change requests
  • Tracking progress and spending to ensure timely completion within budget

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose critical areas on the job and navigate project risks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask, think critically, and problem-solve
  • Organizational and computer skills, with high competency in reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred Requirements

Experience with drywall, metal-stud framing, and commercial construction in the ACT marketLocal to our office
