Senior Mechanical Supervisor

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment
  • Proficient in PLC and vision system technologies
  • Expertise in essential mechanical repairs, including motors and gearboxes
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems
  • Experience with shop tools such as lathes, drill presses, and welding is advantageous
  • Capability to interpret CAD drawings and design layouts for new production lines or machinery as required

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the daily management of mechanical staff
  • Manage machine-related tasks, including packaging projects, equipment upkeep, parts inventory, and service operations
  • Evaluate daily mechanical operations to ensure adherence to company cGMPs and SOPs
  • Supervise the daily setup, repair, and preventive maintenance of packaging machinery in both bottle and blister formats
  • Ensure comprehensive training for each member of the mechanical team, with proper documentation of training records
  • Drive continuous improvement in Units Per Minute through effective machine setups, diligent mechanical maintenance, and personnel development
  • Develop timelines, line layouts, and review electrical schematics for the installation of new machinery
  • Conduct IQ/OQ reviews and approvals
  • Manage external service requirements and negotiate contracts for compressors, PLCs, and related equipment
  • Facilitate the installation and setup of new vision systems as necessary
  • Possess knowledge in welding, machine fabrication, and technical repairs

Salary Range: $35.00-$45.00/hour based on experience
