Cybersecurity Professional

The Information Resource group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Professional to join our team as an IT Security Specialist. This role plays a crucial part in planning, implementing, and maintaining our IT security system, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our resources.

This position requires someone with expertise in best practice security processes and procedures, Active Directory, Symantec Antivirus, and advanced experience with security technologies including Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems.

• Conduct network security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them;
• Manage user accounts, including account creation, termination, authority changes, and regular audits;
• Monitor networks and computer systems for security breaches, detecting and responding promptly to any incidents;
• Plan and execute security awareness training and testing programs for users to ensure they understand the importance of cybersecurity;
• Provide exceptional customer support, both in person and via the Help Desk, addressing technical issues efficiently and professionally;
• Develop and document comprehensive security plans that align with industry standards and regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 4 years' experience in IT security, with a focus on designing and implementing secure systems;
• Advanced knowledge of security technologies, including intrusion detection and prevention systems;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions;
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
