About the Role

At Detroit Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in Hamtramck, Michigan. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a vital role in carrying out technical aspects of cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess all parameters and performance during procedures, ensuring high-quality care for patients.
  • Record hemodynamic/physiological waveforms and perform various calculations to provide accurate patient data.
  • Maintain equipment and supply inventory, guaranteeing seamless operations within the department.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, monitoring their status throughout the process.
  • Assist with basic and advanced life support, as well as other general duties essential for quality patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have an Associate's degree in Science with a major in Cardiovascular Technology or completion of a two-year accredited program. Additionally, registration with the National Board of Cardio Vascular Testing (RCIS) or (RCES) or ARRT registered with Cardiac/Interventional (CI) or (CV) Cardiac/Vascular Radiology Certification is required.

You should also possess American Heart association (AHA) Basic Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification, as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) for employees working in adult settings or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (PALS) for employees working in pediatric settings.

Benefits and Compensation

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include medical benefits, dental benefits, vision benefits, employee assistance programs, life insurance, and a discount program. We also offer a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
