Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Library Associate to join our team at the City of Port Townsend Public Library. As a key member of our staff, you will provide exceptional reference services to patrons, assist with collection maintenance, and support the development of library programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide reference services to patrons, including assistance with computer use and library materials
  • Assist with collection maintenance, including cataloging and processing library materials
  • Support the development of library programs, including planning and implementing special events and outreach activities
  • Collaborate with library staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Master of Library Science degree from an ALA-accredited university
  • Washington State Library certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
