Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing and analyzing cardiac ultrasound tests, including M-mode, two-dimensional, pulsed and continuous wave, color flow Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and stress echocardiograms.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform and analyze cardiac ultrasound tests, including M-mode, two-dimensional, pulsed and continuous wave, color flow Doppler, TEE, and stress echocardiograms.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures, and maintain equipment for proper function and safety.
  • Document echocardiograms according to departmental procedures, and enter, maintain, and record all pertinent data.
  • Inform physicians of any changes in patient condition or vital signs, and alert them to abnormalities that require immediate attention.
  • Compare present echocardiograms to previous studies to monitor changes in patient status, and carry out assignments within a realistic time frame.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field, and completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry to Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation required.
  • Must maintain active registry status.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registered by the American Registry to Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $35.00 - $60.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
